Eliminating Z-Seams with Scarf Seams Scarf seams work by tapering the start and end of a perimeter so they overlap diagonally rather than stopping abruptly. 1. Enabling Scarf Seams In OrcaSlicer, go to Process > Quality. Set 'Scarf Seam' to 'Contour and Hole'. 2. Taper Length Set the 'Scarf Seam Length' to 20mm for most materials. This ensures a gradual transition. 3. Troubleshooting Bulges If you see a bulge at the start of the seam, your 'Scarf Seam Flow' is too high. Try reducing it to 95%. 4. Troubleshooting Pits If there is a gap or 'pit' at the seam, increase the 'Scarf Seam Flow' to 105% or reduce the 'Scarf Seam Start Height'.
