The Layer Height Paradox

  • Thinner Layers (0.1mm): Better details, but more 'interfaces' which can lead to more failure points.
  • Thicker Layers (0.3mm): Faster prints and surprisingly stronger parts because the molten plastic holds more heat and fuses better.

Note: For functional brackets, 0.28mm layers are usually stronger than 0.12mm layers.
