Collet Cleaning Guide

A dirty collet causes 'Runout' (wobble), which breaks small bits and leaves poor finishes.

• Clean: Use a brass brush and IPA to remove dust from the slits.
• Inspect: Look for 'scoring' (circles) inside. This means a bit slipped.
• Replace: Collets are wear items. Replace them once a year if you use your machine heavily.
