Choosing a Nozzle Diameter

  • 0.2mm: Extreme detail, miniatures. Prone to clogs.
  • 0.4mm: Standard. Best balance of speed and detail.
  • 0.6mm: Fastest for functional parts. Hides 'Z-banding'.
  • 0.8mm+: Vase mode, large structural prints. Loses small details.

Note: 0.6mm is becoming the new 'pro' standard for high-speed printers like the Bambu or Kobra 3.
