Janka Hardness (Hobbyist CNC)

• Pine: 380 - Easy to cut, prone to fuzzing.
• Cherry: 950 - Beautiful finish, moderate speeds.
• Oak: 1290 - Hard, requires stiff machine.
• Maple: 1450 - Very hard, prone to burning if bit is dull.
• Ipe: 3600+ - Extreme. Will destroy cheap bits instantly.
