Wolfpawn 4040 Pro — Machine Reference The Wolfpawn 4040 Pro is a desktop CNC router running a GRBL 1.1F controller. Work area 400×400×90mm. Re-tighten every few months. Bit breaking on first pass: Feed rate too high or depth of cut too aggressive. Start conservative — halve your feed rate and DOC, then increase. Spindle runout: Collet nut not fully tightened, or dirty collet taper. Clean the ER11 taper and nut threads with a soft brush. GRBL alarm on connect: Type $X in the console to clear the alarm, then home the machine. Chatter / vibration: Reduce feed rate, increase RPM, check workholding.
