Privacy Policy
Effective October 18, 2026
This policy explains what personal information 1C3D - Asset Manager (the "Service") collects, why, and who can see it. The short version: we do not sell your personal information, we do not rent it, and we do not show ads. We use your information to run the Service, and for nothing else.
1. Who is responsible for what
The Service is run by the operator of 1c3d.com. A property manager decides what to record about their properties, tenants, and is responsible for having a proper reason to record it. We process that information on the manager's behalf, to provide the Service. For their own account information, such as sign-in and billing, we are the responsible party.
2. What we collect
- Account: name, email address, a password (stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form), your sign-in verification settings (a secret for your authenticator app and hashed recovery codes, if you turn that on), your business name, your plan and sign-in activity such as when you were last active.
- What you add: properties and addresses, tenant names and emails, work orders and notes, schedules, appliance details, property info (including private notes such as access codes that you choose to enter), photos, receipts with vendor and amount, and time entries.
- Tenant requests: if a tenant uses a request link, the name, phone or email, description and optional photo they send. If they give an email address, we email them a private status link and updates about that request.
- Team members: if a manager invites a team member, we store their name, email and optional hourly rate (visible only to that manager), and record which jobs are assigned to them and the time, notes, photos and receipts they add.
- Calendar link: if a Pro manager turns on calendar sync, we create a private link that lists scheduled work orders (title, property, address, time). Anyone with the link can see them, so keep it private; you can replace it in Settings.
- Alerts: if a Pro manager turns on push alerts, we store the address your browser gives us for sending those alerts. The alert itself carries no details; your device asks the app for them after signing in.
- Billing: Stripe handles payment details. We receive and keep only your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and your plan status. We never see your card number.
- Technical: your IP address and sign-in attempts, kept briefly for security and to stop abuse, a sign-in cookie, and a cookie that remembers a device you chose to trust for sign-in codes (see below).
3. How we use it
To provide the Service: sign you in, show you your work orders, send the emails you or your manager set up (new requests, updates, schedule reminders, password and sign-up links), process your subscription, keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, fix problems and meet legal duties. We do not use your information for advertising or sell it to data brokers.
4. Who can see your information
- Managers see their own properties, work orders and people. Another manager cannot see them.
- Team members see only the jobs assigned to them, with their notes, photos and time. They do not see other properties, spending or reports. Their manager sees everything they add.
- Tenants with an account see only their own properties and the notes and photos marked as shared. Managers' private notes and private property info stay private.
- People who use a request link see only what they send through the request form.
- The platform administrator can see account and usage totals in the app, but not the contents of your properties or work orders. The operator has technical access to the underlying systems, and may look at data only when needed to run, secure or repair the Service, to help you with a problem you raised, or to respond to legal requirements or investigate fraud.
5. Service providers
We share information only with providers that help us operate the Service: our web host (NearlyFreeSpeech.NET), Cloudflare (network delivery and protection), our email delivery service (for the emails above), and Stripe (payments). They may handle information only to perform those services. Receipt scanning runs inside your own browser; the image is not sent to a third-party scanning service.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the safety and rights of people, or to investigate fraud or a breach of our terms. If the Service is ever transferred to a new owner, we will tell you first and this policy will continue to apply to your information.
6. Cookies and information kept on your device
We use two cookies, both required for the Service to work: a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, and, only if you tick the Remember this device box when entering a sign-in code, a cookie that skips the code on that device for 30 days. When you sign in we email you a 6-digit code, or ask for the code from your authenticator app if you set one up. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. To let the app work with no signal, it also saves recent pages and queued changes in your browser's local storage on that device. Signing out clears what the app saved.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account in Settings, or ask us to, we delete your account information and the content you added. Backups and security logs may take a short time to age out. Sign-in attempt and abuse-prevention records are kept for days, not years. We may keep limited records longer where the law requires or to deal with fraud or disputes.
8. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, sign-in needs a second step (an emailed code or an authenticator app), accounts can only reach their own data, and sign-in attempts are rate limited. No system is perfectly secure. Use a strong, unique password, and tell us right away at [email protected] if you suspect a problem. If a breach affects your information we will notify you as the law requires.
9. Your choices and rights
You can see and edit most of your information in the app, switch off email notifications in Settings, and cancel a paid plan at any time. You can ask us at [email protected] to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to close your account. If you are a tenant and want information held by your property manager corrected or removed, ask your manager first, because they control that record. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you.
10. Children
The Service is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Where information is stored
The Service is hosted in the United States, so your information is processed there.
12. Changes and contact
If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Questions or requests: [email protected]. See also our Terms of Service.
