DSC PowerSeries Neo Programming Guide: Every Section 000–999 With Child Settings and Examples
This is a complete section-by-section reference for the DSC PowerSeries Neo installer programming menu. It covers every major section from 000 through 999, including all child options, toggle bits, valid value ranges, and real-world examples. Written for the HS2016, HS2032, HS2064, and HS2128 panels with firmware v1.x–v3.x.

Entering Installer Programming
From an LCD keypad (HS2LCD / HS2LCDRF / HS2LCDWF): Press [*][8][Installer Code] — default installer code is 5555.
From a touchscreen (HS2TCHP / HS2TCHPRO): Tap the gear icon (top right) → enter installer code → tap Installer Programming.
From the main keypad: You must be in the unarmed state. The keypad will display Installer Programming and accept 3-digit section numbers.
Exiting programming: Press [#] repeatedly to back out, or press [*][8][0][0] to exit and save all changes.
> Your installer code: 5555 (change this — see Section 006)

How Sections Work
Every section is a 3-digit number (000–999). After entering programming mode, type the section number and press [*] to enter it. Each section then shows either:
- A data field — type a value (often 00–99 or a 4- to 6-digit number) and press
[*] - An 8-toggle option screen — each LED or zone light represents one on/off toggle bit numbered 1–8
- A submenu — press
[*]to cycle through child sections
Toggle bits are changed by pressing the corresponding zone number key on the keypad. A lit LED = ON (1), unlit = OFF (0). Press [*] to save and advance.

| 1 | 12/24 hour display (0=12h, 1=24h) |
| 2 | Automatic DST adjustment |
| 3 | DST adjustment +1 hour in spring |
| 4 | NTP time sync (if IP communicator present) |
Section 910 — System Event Log (View Mode)
Scroll through the panel's event buffer (last 500 events):
[*]= Next event[#]= Previous event- Events show: date, time, zone/user, event type
Section 911 — Event Log Options
| Bit | Function |
|---|---|
| 1 | Log zone alarms |
| 2 | Log zone restores |
| 3 | Log arm/disarm events |
| 4 | Log bypass events |

| 6 | Log access control events |
| 7 | Log system events |
| 8 | Log DLS access |
Section 920 — Panel Reset / Test Options
- **[*][2]** — Walk test mode: triggers zone and confirms RF reception without generating alarms
- **[*][6]** — System test: tests bell, keypad, PGM outputs
- **[*][1][4]** — Panel alarm memory
- **[*][2][0]** — Battery voltage (displayed in volts × 10)
Section 930 — Diagnostic Mode
Real-time Corbus module status:
- View each module's signal strength (RSSI)
- Confirm module firmware version
- Check expander zone status
Section 940 — Module Firmware Versions
View the firmware version running on each connected module. Navigate by module address.
Section 950 — Panel Self-Test
Runs an internal diagnostics check:
- Tests all onboard zone inputs
- Tests bell output
- Tests PGM outputs
- Tests Corbus communication to each module
- Results displayed on keypad
Section 960 — Bell / Siren Test Output
Triggers the bell output for 2 seconds for test purposes. Warn occupants before running.
Section 970 — Zone Resistance Test
Displays the measured resistance on each hardwired zone terminal:
- Normal: 1kΩ EOL resistor reads approximately 1000Ω
- Open: Reads very high (>50kΩ)
- Short: Reads <100Ω
- Tamper: 2kΩ reads (double resistor in series)
Section 980 — Communication Test
Forces an immediate test transmission to the monitoring station. The monitoring station should acknowledge within 30–90 seconds.
Section 990 — Corbus Module Status
Lists all modules detected on the Corbus (4-wire bus):
- Module type
- Address
- Firmware version
- Communication status (OK / Fault)
Section 991 — Corbus Wiring Diagnostics
Voltage and current readings on the Corbus terminals:
- Normal voltage: 10.5–12.5V
- High current draw indicates a module fault or wiring short
Section 999 — Factory Default Reset
Wipes everything — all zones, codes, communication settings, module assignments. Use only on fresh installs or when panel must be completely recommissioned.
- Requires entering the 8-digit master reset code to confirm
- Panel reboots after reset (approximately 30 seconds)
- All LEDs flash twice to confirm reset complete

Adding a New User Code
[*][8][Installer Code]to enter programming- Navigate to Section 201–240 for the desired user slot
- Enter 4-digit or 6-digit code →
[*] - Set partition access and attributes in child sections
[#]to exit
Enrolling a New Wireless Zone
[*][8][Installer Code]- Section 701 → select zone number → auto-enroll
- Trigger device → confirm serial
- Section 101-1NN → set zone type, partition, attributes
- Section 055 → add to door chime if desired
Resetting a Smoke Detector After Alarm
If smoke detectors use a PGM reset circuit (Output type 08):
- Disarm system (clears alarm memory)
- Locate smoke reset PGM output
- Panel auto-pulses for 5 seconds on disarm if programmed
- Or manually:
[*][7][2][2]from keypad to activate reset output
Checking Corbus Module Status (9 expansion modules)
[*][8][5555]- Section 990
- Scroll through addresses 1–9
- Each shows: type, firmware, status
- Address with fault shows COMM FAIL — check wiring at that module
---
Keypad Status Light Reference
During normal operation, the keypad's zone LEDs and indicators mean:
| Indicator | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Zones 1–8 lit | Those zones are open |
| READY light on | All zones closed, system ready to arm |
