Pros
- High stiffness and strength
- Excellent heat resistance (HDT 200°C+)
- Low creep under sustained load
- Better dimensional stability than unfilled nylon
- Good fatigue resistance
Cons
- Very abrasive — hardened nozzle required
- Extremely moisture sensitive
- Requires high print temps
- Enclosure recommended for large parts
- Adhesion challenging
Best For
- Structural brackets|High-temp housings|Under-hood automotive|Industrial tooling|Functional prototypes
Avoid For
- Standard nozzles|Humid environments without drying|Budget printers
Storage
Extremely hygroscopic. Dry at 80°C for 6-8 hours before printing. Store with fresh desiccant immediately after use. Wet nylon produces bubbles and poor layer adhesion.
