Poplar — a light-colored hardwood with consistent grain and very low resin. One of the most forgiving laser woods. Engraves with moderate contrast, cuts cleanly. Great for practice, production runs, and beginner projects.

Laser Compatibility
Poplar engraves with medium contrast warm tones. CO2: engrave 400mm/s 40W, cut 3mm 150mm/s 60W. Diode: engrave 500mm/s 90%, cut 3mm 3 passes 80%. Air assist reduces char. Consistent grain for repeatable results.
