RatRig V-Core 4 500
Buying notes: RatRig V-Core 4 500
Who it suits
Experienced builders who want a large CoreXY printer and will assemble and tune it themselves. It is sold as a kit and comes in 300, 400 and 500 mm sizes.
Known issues and quirks
Enclosure panels are not included, and the power supply ships set to 230V, so 120V users must flip the switch. Reviews of the older V-Core 3 reported a thin build guide and alignment trouble; check recent owner reports for the V-Core 4.
Common upgrades and accessories
One retailer's kit lists a Beacon probe, an LDO Orbiter 2.0 extruder and a Phaetus Rapido 2.0 UHF hotend. The Raspberry Pi is a separate purchase, and panels are sold separately or can be made from Rat Rig's DXF files.
Tips
RatOS handles setup and resonance testing, though plain Klipper with Mainsail also works.
