Functionally, worn FEP shows up as prints failing to release cleanly from the vat film (increased suction and peel force that can shift or tear delicate details), a film that's visibly sagging or loose rather than drum-tight, or a sudden string of failed prints after a run of prints that had been working fine, which is a common tell that something changed physically rather than a settings problem.
Replacing the FEP Film

Moisture or resin seepage into the panel's edge seals over time can also cause discoloration or a spreading dark patch visible when the screen is lit but nothing is printing. Replacing the LCD Panel
