Account Overhaul: Inline-Editable Profiles, Unified Comms, and a New Pinned Page
My Profile — Now Editable Right Where You See It
Your profile page used to be read-only, with a separate editing form buried under Account settings. Not anymore — click your avatar in the menu and My Profile opens directly into an editable view.
- Click any field to edit it — bio, location, website, display name, maker setup, specialties, software, and all your social handles. Type your change and click away (or hit Enter) — it saves automatically. No save button to hunt for, no separate edit mode.
- Open To tags (Collabs, Commissions, Chat, Feedback) are now toggle pills — click to turn them on or off.
- A new 🔗 copy-link button sits next to your username, on both your own profile and everyone else's, for quickly grabbing a shareable link.
Comms — Contacts and Messages, One Page
Contacts and Messages used to be two separate pages with two separate menu items. They're now one screen: your contacts and who's online sit in a sidebar on the left, conversations open in the main pane on the right — pick a contact and start chatting without leaving the page.
The menu item is now just 💬 Comms.
Pinned — Everything You've Saved, in One Place
A new 📌 Pinned page replaces the old scattered "Saved" tab. It has two sections:
- Pages — guides, devices, and materials you've pinned from any content page (the old "Save" button is now labeled Pin)
- Tool Results — saved calculator outputs from the Maker Tools
Unpin anything with one click, right from the list.
Settings — Simplified
Account settings dropped its tab bar — Profile editing moved to My Profile, Pinned items moved to their own page, so Settings is now just what it should be: email, password, 2FA, API tokens, and preferences, all on one screen.
Under the Hood
A couple of fixes that don't show up as features but were worth squashing:
- Direct profile links now actually work. Copying a link to your profile and opening it fresh (or sharing it with someone) used to redirect to the homepage instead of loading the profile — a routing gap, now closed.
- API token cleanup. Logging in was quietly piling up a new 30-day access token every time without ever cleaning up the old ones — accounts with a lot of logins were starting to see dozens of stale tokens listed in Settings. Token issuance now auto-trims each account down to the 5 most recent active tokens and sweeps expired ones in the background, so the list stays readable no matter how often you log in.
