New: Two-Factor Login, a Much Faster Site, and a Reworked Homepage

Since the pinning and profile update, we've shipped a handful of things worth knowing about — a security feature, a big performance pass, and a full homepage rework.

Two-Factor Login

Every account can now turn on two-factor authentication (TOTP) — the same standard used by Google Authenticator, Authy, and most password managers. Head to Settings to set it up. It's optional, but if you've got saved content or a public profile you care about, it's worth the thirty seconds.

A Much Faster Site

Pages used to pull their styling from the database on every load. We moved that to a static, edge-cached file instead — page weight is down significantly across the board, and pages load noticeably faster, especially on mobile connections. Same look, just a lot less baggage getting there.

Row/List Views, Everywhere

How-tos, projects, notes, and devices all got a row/card view toggle on their listing pages. If you'd rather scan a dense list than scroll past big cards, flip the switch in the top corner — it remembers your choice.

A Reworked Homepage

The homepage got the most attention. A few specific things:

On top of all that, the how-tos and projects libraries have grown a lot — workshop safety, electronics, CNC, laser work, 3D printing, home networking, and a bunch of build projects across all of it. Worth a browse through How-Tos or Projects if it's been a minute since you last looked.
