Anycubic Kobra 3 V2 — Machine Reference & Connection Guide
Anycubic Kobra 3 V2 — Machine Reference The Kobra 3 V2 with ACE Pro is a multi-color FDM printer running Klipper firmware. It is NOT a standard Marlin machine — configuration and connection work differently than most desktop printers. Connection To find the printer IP: touchscreen → Settings → Network → IP Address. Software Anycubic Slicer — the official slicer, pre-configured profiles for Kobra 3 V2 + ACE Pro Orca Slicer — community favorite, import Anycubic machine config from the slicer library Moonraker — the API layer between Klipper and the web UI, runs on the printer Klipper — the firmware running on the printer MCU For Orca Slicer: Printer Settings → Select Anycubic → Kobra 3 Combo → configure filament slots. Firmware Firmware is updated via: 1. Anycubic Slicer — check for updates in app settings 2. SD card — download from Anycubic website, copy to SD, insert in printer, it flashes automatically 3. OTA — some versions support over-the-air updates via the app Do NOT use third-party Klipper configs without understanding what you are changing — the ACE Pro system has custom macros for multi-color purging. ACE Pro Multi-Color System Slots numbered 1–4 (left to right) Purge tower is mandatory for color changes — tune purge volume per material Slot-to-extruder mapping is handled by the printer, not the slicer If the ACE Pro jams: open the top lid, clear the path manually, resume from touchscreen Useful Links Official firmware & software downloads Anycubic Wiki — Kobra 3 Combo Anycubic Community Forum Reddit r/anycubic Orca Slicer releases Common Issues Printer not found on network: Restart the router and printer. Make sure both are on the same subnet (2.4GHz, not 5GHz). ACE Pro filament not loading: Check that the PTFE tubes are fully seated in the ACE unit fittings. A 1-2mm gap causes feeding failures. First layer inconsistent: Run the auto-leveling routine after every cold move of the printer. Web UI unreachable via mDNS: Use the IP address directly. mDNS reliability varies by router.
