Overview

The Anycubic Kobra 3 is a Klipper-based FDM printer with a 255x255x260mm build volume, 600mm/s rated speed, and ACE Pro multi-material support. This guide covers unboxing through your first successful print.

Assembly

  1. Attach the gantry to Z-axis extrusions, 4x M5 bolts — check square before torquing
  2. Install spool holder or ACE Pro rear bracket
  3. Connect cables: toolhead chain, 24V power, touchscreen
  4. Level the frame: loosen then re-tighten the four base corner screws

Auto-Leveling (LeviQ 2.0)

Prepare → Auto-leveling. The nozzle probes a 7x7 grid. Run this after every print surface change or move.

Z-Offset

Prepare → Calibrate → Z-offset. Paper drag test: light resistance is correct. Too loose = first layer gaps, too tight = nozzle drags bed.

Watch the first 3-5 layers in person — most print failures on a newly-assembled printer show up in that window, and catching a bad first layer early saves filament and time versus discovering a failed print an hour in.
