Workshop: Plywood Veneer Grades
Grading System (Cabinet vs. Construction) A: Smooth, no knots. Best for furniture. B: Solid surface, minor repairs allowed. C: Knots and plugs visible. Best for hidden structures. D: Large knots, voids allowed. Construction only. Sanding: Veneers are often only 0.5mm thick. Be extremely careful when sanding 'A' grade plywood to avoid 'burning through' to the glue.
