Material Considerations for the 5M vs 5M Pro

Because the base 5M lacks active chamber heating, treat it like any unheated-enclosure printer for ABS and ASA: the enclosure helps with draft-free printing and reduces warping versus a fully open frame, but it won't hold the sustained chamber temperature that genuinely temperamental materials want — the same distinction covered in our guide to printing ABS without a heated enclosure. The 5M Pro's active chamber heating puts higher-temperature engineering materials more realistically in reach; confirm your specific model's chamber temperature ceiling before committing a spool of anything exotic to a long print.
