CNC Bit Reference — Genmitsu MC40A — 1.0mm Flat Upcut (Micro)
1.0mm cutting diameter — micro end mill for fine detail work. Included in MC40A 40pc set. Feeds & Speeds (Wolfpawn 4040 Pro): RPM: 10000 (max — small dia needs high RPM to maintain surface footage) Feed rate: 150–250 mm/min Depth of cut: 0.05–0.10mm per pass max Plunge rate: 50 mm/min Stepdown: NEVER exceed 0.1mm DOC or you will snap it Applications: PCB isolation routing Fine lettering and engraving detail Tight-radius inside corners that larger bits can't reach V-carve cleanup passes in tight geometry Do NOT use for: General pocket clearing (use 3.175mm for bulk removal first) Plunge cuts — always ramp in at 5–10° angle Hardwood or abrasive materials Tips These snap easily — one wrong move ends the bit. Always simulate toolpath first. Keep total cut length short — 5–10mm max per pass before clearing chips. This is the bit you sacrifice to check that your workholding is solid before committing the good bit.
