CNC Bit Reference — Genmitsu MC40A — Flat Upcut 2-Flute (Titanium)
Titanium nitride (TiN) coated 2-flute upcut. Harder surface than nano blue — better wear resistance on abrasive materials like hardwood and dense MDF. Runs slightly cooler under load. Feeds & Speeds (Wolfpawn 4040 Pro, 3.175mm cutting dia): RPM: 9000–10000 (slightly lower than nano blue — titanium coating reduces friction but increases torque demand) Feed rate: 800–1100 mm/min Depth of cut: 1.0–1.5mm per pass Plunge rate: 300 mm/min For 2.0mm cutting dia: RPM: 10000 Feed rate: 400–500 mm/min DOC: 0.5–0.8mm Prefer titanium coat over nano blue for: Dense hardwoods (oak, maple, walnut) High-density MDF Materials that dull nano blue quickly Tips Titanium coating is brighter gold/amber color vs nano blue's dark blue — easy to tell apart. Both coatings are included in the MC40A 40pc set — use TiN for hardwood, nano blue for softwood/MDF/plywood.
