Overview
Split leather with napped (buffed) surface finish. Softer and more uniform in thickness than full-grain but less durable. Engraves with color change in nap texture. Cuts cleanly but nap can flatten around edges. CO2 laser preferred over diode for leather.

Storage
Store flat between layers of tissue paper. Avoid humidity extremes. Condition with leather oil after engraving to restore flexibility.
Laser Compatibility
CO2 80W: Engrave 350mm/s 25% power. Cut 3mm suede: 8mm/s 60%. Air assist on. Mask surface with painter's tape to prevent halo char around engraving. Low power setting — nap burns very easily. Test first.
