Flipper Zero Infrared: Clone and Control Any Remote

The Flipper Zero's built-in IR transceiver can read any infrared remote and replay the signal. It also ships with a database of built-in remotes for TVs, projectors, and ACs.

Learning a New Remote

  1. Go to Infrared from the main menu
  2. Select Learn New Remote
  3. Name the remote
  4. Point your remote at the Flipper's IR receiver (top end) and press a button
  5. Tap OK to save, repeat for each button

Using Built-In Universal Remotes

Infrared → Universal Remotes. Includes TV (Samsung, LG, Sony, Philips), Projector, Air Conditioner, Audio systems.

Playing Back a Saved Remote

  1. Infrared → Saved Remotes
  2. Select your saved file
  3. Browse buttons and press OK to send

IR Protocol Detection

The Flipper shows the protocol detected when learning (NEC, Samsung32, RC6, SIRC). This is useful before writing scripts or integrating with other tools.

Limitations

Exporting IR Files

IR signal files stored as .ir text files on SD at /infrared/. Community maintains large IR databases at github.com/logickworkshop/Flipper-IRDB.
