Using Flipper Zero to Analyze and Clone Gate Remote Signals Property gates and garage doors using older fixed-code remotes can be analyzed and replicated with Flipper's Sub-GHz radio. This covers the process for remotes you own. Identifying Your Remote's Frequency Most residential gate/garage door remotes use: 315 MHz (North America, older) 390 MHz (some North American systems) 433.92 MHz (most common globally) 868 MHz (Europe) Check the back of the remote — frequency is often printed. Frequency Scanning If not labeled: 1. Sub-GHz → Frequency Analyzer 2. Press button on remote 3. Flipper shows active frequencies — your remote's frequency is the spike 4. Note the frequency Capturing the Signal 1. Sub-GHz → Read → set to your identified frequency 2. Press button on remote while Flipper is reading 3. Signal captured — Flipper shows protocol (Princeton, CAME, Nice FLO, etc.) 4. Save with a name Emulating (Fixed Code Remotes Only) 1. Open saved signal 2. Send — Flipper transmits the signal 3. Point at the gate receiver at normal range Works reliably on: Most fixed-code remotes made before ~2015 Rolling Code Systems (Cannot Clone) Modern systems (LiftMaster Security+ 2.0, Chamberlain myQ, FAAC with rolling codes) change the code with every press. Flipper captures the code but replay is rejected. How to identify rolling code: Remote says "Security+" or system was installed after ~2010 and doesn't open on replay. Backup Use Case The legitimate use: backup your own gate remote signal. If the remote dies and the original is discontinued, your saved signal can be used temporarily while sourcing a replacement.
