Bambu Lab PLA Silk — metallic sheen single-color and bi-color silk filaments. Prints at slightly higher temps than PLA Basic. Produces outstanding surface finish.

Pros
- Eye-catching silk sheen, great for display pieces, easy to print

- More brittle than PLA+, silk finish shows fingerprints, not for functional parts
Laser Compatibility
LASER INTERACTION
Safety: SAFE — PLA base polymer. Standard ventilation sufficient.
CO2 engrave: 300-400mm/s @ 15-20% | Diode 20W: 3000mm/min @ 35%
Result: Clean dark marks. Good contrast on light colors.
Fumes: Lactic acid derivatives — low hazard.
Note: Metallic sheen reflects ~10-15% more laser energy than matte. Compensate by increasing power or reducing speed slightly.
