Laser Compatibility
LASER INTERACTION
Safety: SAFE — PLA base with wood fiber filler. Both components are safe to laser.
CO2 engrave: 250-350mm/s @ 20-25% | Diode 20W: 2000mm/min @ 45%
Result: OUTSTANDING. Wood fiber in the PLA responds to laser like real wood — creates beautiful dark marks with high contrast. One of the very best FDM materials for laser marking. The wood particles absorb laser energy preferentially.
Fumes: Wood combustion products + PLA — similar to engraving real wood. Safe with standard ventilation.
Tips: Treat like a wood-PLA composite. Excellent for signs, decorative pieces, anything where laser marking on wood-look material is desired. Increase passes for deeper marks.
