Anycubic Kobra 3
Buying notes: Anycubic Kobra 3
Who it suits
Budget-conscious enthusiasts who want multicolor with the optional ACE Pro and don't mind tuning profiles. Reviewers rate it less polished and less hands-off than a Bambu A1, so it suits beginners less.
Known issues and quirks
Bed adhesion is a recurring complaint across materials, and one reviewer had ASA warp badly. Z offset often needs manual adjustment per filament. Plastic on the nozzle tip can upset the strain-gauge sensing. Reviewers report ACE Pro false clog or tangle alarms and heavy purge waste on color changes. One user stopped first-layer failures by lowering the part-cooling fan to 80%.
Common upgrades and accessories
The ACE Pro for multicolor. Anycubic Slicer Next (OrcaSlicer-based) is recommended over the older slicer. A quieter fan, since one review measured about 62 dB(A) while printing.
Tips
Clean the nozzle tip and PEI plate before leveling and adjust Z offset in small steps. Keep ACE Pro firmware current, since newer versions reportedly reduce false alarms. Lower flush volumes for similar colors. TPU printed reliably in one review.
