PLA-GF
Overview
PLA-GF (Glass Fiber Reinforced PLA) combines the ease of printing of standard PLA with chopped glass fibers for significantly improved stiffness, strength, and heat resistance. It offers a step up from standard PLA for functional parts while remaining easier to print than nylon or ABS composites. The glass fibers increase rigidity and reduce shrinkage, but produce a rough, matte surface finish. A hardened steel nozzle is required due to abrasive glass content. Heat resistance is notably better than standard PLA.
