What Work Zero Means Work zero is the reference point (X=0, Y=0, Z=0) your G-code is written relative to. Where you set it on the physical machine = where your part cuts. Common origins in Vectric Aspire/VCarve: Bottom-left corner of material (most common) Center of material Top-left corner Match your G-code origin setting to your physical zero method. X and Y Zero — Paper Method 1. Jog spindle to where you want X=0, Y=0 (typically front-left corner of material) 2. Lower Z until bit is just above surface 3.
