CNC: Workholding with CA Glue and Tape
The Blue Tape and CA Glue Trick This method allows you to cut all the way through a part without using tabs or clamps. 1. Prep the Surfaces Apply Blue Painter's Tape to both your wasteboard and the bottom of your workpiece. 2. Apply Adhesive Apply a squiggle of Thick CA Glue to the tape on the wasteboard. Spray 'Activator' on the tape on the workpiece. 3. Press and Hold Press the workpiece onto the wasteboard. The bond is instant and incredibly strong. 4. Removal After the cut, use a putty knife to pop the part off. The tape peels away cleanly from both surfaces, leaving no residue.
